According to a report by the Sports Marketing Group, the Indian sports industry grew by over 11% in 2023, crossing the ₹16,000 crore mark, with regional contributions playing a major role. Among them, the eight North-Eastern states have become India’s most vibrant talent hubs—home to dozens of national and international athletes who have redefined India’s sporting map.
